Who we are

The Etobicoke Children's Centre was formed in September 1997 as a result of the merger between two complimentary organizations, Stothers Centre for Children and Families & The Etobicoke Centre for Children and Families. The founders were concerned Etobicoke parents and local service clubs who were committed to helping children and their families address children’s mental health needs.

The Etobicoke Children's Centre is a non-profit, charitable voluntary organization. We are fully accredited by Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO – www.kidsmentalhealth.ca). The Centre receives funding from the Province of Ontario (Ministry of Child and Youth Services and Ministry of Community and Social Services), The City of Toronto and through private donations. The Centre operates within the auspices of The Child and Family Services Act for the provision of treatment for mental health. Our services are without cost to children and families.
