Ready Set Go

Description

Heading off to school for the first time is a major transition in a young child’s life. This skills building group supports children in making a successful adjustment to Kindergarten. There are two components to the group:

  1. An introductory skill building program for children as they prepare to enter kindergarten.

  2. A skills building group for parents/caregivers that helps parents understanding the school system and help their children make a successful transition.

Who should come?

The Ready Set Go program is offered through our partnerships with community schools in the Toronto District School Board. Children who will be entering Kindergarten at a participating school may be eligible. Parent(s)/caregiver(s) will attend the parent/caregiver program while their child is in their program.

All participants are asked to participate in evaluation of their experience of this service.
