Privacy and Confidentiality

All Centre staff, students, and volunteers sign a statement indicating that information they receive about you and your family will be confidential. Staff are told only what they need to know to help your child.

Sometimes it is helpful to receive information about your child and/or family from another agency that you have worked with. Information is requested from agencies or given only with your signed consent. Such consent is valid up to one year. Consent may be cancelled in writing at any time.

Exceptions are made in the following cases: mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse, in response to a subpoena or court order or when a person is at risk of serious harm.

Family interviews will not be observed or recorded unless permission is given.
