The West End Services for Abuse and Trauma (WESAT)

The Children’s Program:

Assessment and Treatment Services:

The West End Services for Abuse and Trauma (WESAT) provides specialized assessment and treatment services for:  

  1. Children and youth aged 3-18 years who have experienced trauma because of sexual abuse, physical abuse, exposure to domestic violence , community violence and other forms of violence, and members of their families; and
  2. Children under the age of 12 who present with sexualized behaviour problems, and their families.

Services through this program are available to children, youth and families living in West Toronto, (former Etobicoke and the City of York).

Group Counselling Services:

We provide:

a)    10 week support group for teen age girls (13- 18 years). 

b)    Parent Seminar Series (3 workshops) for parents/caregivers whose children have experienced abuse or trauma. Free child care is provided on site. TTC tokens are provided if required. Light refreshments are served.
