OAP Foundational Family Services

The new needs-based Ontario Autism Program (OAP) includes a broad range of services that offer more supports designed to meet the individual needs of your family and child or youth.  Foundational Family Services include a range of evidence-based services aimed to provide families with tools to support their child or youth and to participate in their ongoing learning and development. 

They may include:

  • Family and Peer Mentoring
  • Caregiver Workshops and Follow-Up
  • Brief Targeted Consultation
  • Transition Supports
  • Family Resource and Clinic Days

Foundational Family Services are available to all families registered in the OAP and are offered at no cost.

Who is eligible to receive Foundational Family Services?

Everyone registered in the Ontario Autism Program is eligible to receive these services.

Whether your child or youth:

     > is on the waitlist

     > has received interim one-time funding

     > has received a childhood budget or

     > has an existing OAP behaviour plan
